Therapy Dogs
Therapy dogs are dogs that work for others - or groups of people, to provide overall comfort in otherwise stressful situations.
Therapy dogs ARE NOT granted access to public spaces, unless with a handler assisting others in a therapeutic setting such as a nursing home or hospital.
Service Dogs
Service dogs are specially trained to preform specific tasks for an individual in order to fulfill a medical need.
Service Dogs ARE granted access to public spaces with their handler to assist them with a medical emergency or to act in such a way to prevent a medical emergency.
